Newsun Design is located in the beautiful Town of the Blue Mountains and was first started in 1998 by Eric Neumann and Tina Gibson. Experienced in a wide range of graphic design disciplines and signage, we believe in a collaborative approach with our clients. As a small studio we offer key benefits: flexibility, short turnaround times and one-on-one service.
People often ask us how we've managed to be married and work together all these years and the answer is simple. We respect and appreciate each other's craft, we have an ability to handle constructive criticism and we both share a huge desire to keep our clients happy - whatever the project may be (soup labels and beyond).
Eric graduated from the Graphic Design program at Georgian College (Barrie) with honours and has worked in various art director positions in British Columbia and Ontario before deciding to go it alone with his own company in 1998. When he's not meeting with clients, designing, preparing digital print jobs for pre-press, manufacturing commercial and residential signage, you'll find him coaching, playing guitar, skiing or biking the hills, cooking and spending family time with Tina & the kids (human & canine).
Tina graduated from Sheridan College (Oakville campus) and has worked on freelance positions in British Columbia and Ontario before joining Eric in creating Newsun Design. She enjoys devising concepts, designing logos, scripting taglines and constructing signage. In her off-time she loves hanging out with family and friends, running, cooking and reading. Work often comes to mind while Tina plays, runs, cooks and reads which makes her a great multi-tasker whose biggest sidekick is often a notebook to jot ideas in.
Liebe brought over 14 years of client service to New Sun Design. Her gentle personality made her very approachable and easy to work with on all levels of project strategy and daily tasks. She had extra admiration towards our couriers who happily handed her Milk Bones upon their arrival. Liebe passed away on
April 15, 2019 and is greatly missed
by all of us.
Phil’s enthusiasm and innovative creative skills, along with his passion to please, make him a great fit for Newsun’s diverse client base. He is proving to have a tonne of talent in the graphic design world often fabricating concepts on his own. When he’s not busy with research, Phil loves socializing with every person and dog within a 20 foot radius.
Marge the overly excited head greeter at Newsun Design. She loves all of our clients and can’t really seem to get enough of them. Give her any challenge and she will do her best to come through. Deadlines and short turn around times are nothing for this little whipper-snipper!
